Hot off the press, twitter and social media in general having a field day with todays latest episode in court for Wee Willie and Jamie. Does Loyalism have no sense of what is actually happening here? If I was up on a traffic violation I have no doubt I’d be feeling the sharp end of a Judge’s tongue at least if I took the proverbial like this.

Ah Wilie Frazer.
I want to see a blog….McCann Meets Willie Frazer.
That would be interesting.
The problem with dressing up as Abu Hamza is that you might meet somebody dressed up as the FBI. And then you meet someone dressed up as staff from Delta Airlines and then you get to meet lots of people dressed up in orange boiler suits.
By the way, is there a Slugger post on the worlds most wanted woman Samantha Lewthwaite from Banbridge…..who is the daughter of a British soldier.
I suspect if the worlds most wanted woman was from Newry and the daughter of a Republican, we might read about it on Slugger.

In fairness to Slugger, it’s not like what happened in Kenya was as horrific as that whole fake film tax break dodge thing.

Keep yourself warm on the upcoming cold nights with this thought; 2012 and 2013 were meant to be the big years for loyalism and they’ve been a total mare.
FJH is on the button about Lewthwaite. What was that trivial nonsense about some ex provo or ex SF guy who had a bit of fiscal bother abroad? Slugger jumped on it.

I think you are all having a good laugh at someone who is quite possibly in declining mental health. A lot has happened to the mans family over the course of the troubles.

alphiedale,
Yes Willie is a victim and it is diffiuclt not to feel sorry for him and admire his courage in sticking up for his cause – and yes he is also ‘quite possibly in declining mental health’ but who is advising and suporting him ? Who are the other guys?
ps He really looks hilarious and like some/most/many Nats I am a massive fan. i know it is too much to hope for but it would be great if he can get himself elected into Storm or even better a European seat.

According to the Belfast Telegraph Jamie is dressed up as the singer Jon Bon Jovi. I suppose loyalism is living on a prayer these days. No chance of it going down in a blaze of glory anyway.

Don’t worry hoboroad, loyalism will be here always, even if it isn’t a bed of roses. People will be in and out of love with it but those who do realise that they have to keep the faith.
Pity he hadn’t dressed up as Phil Lynott, I’ve a shedload of Thin Lizzy puns!

Would anybody in the loyalist and their allies world be that bothered about what anybody thinks.
One or two of them in the PUP/UVF seem to knowing something is seriously wrong in their community, Rangers, Flegs, unemployment and drugs etc.
The rest of warlords seem happy to make a few bob making a living from the twilight world.
And if the worst ever happens well Troon is a nice place to live.
Btw, the point about mental health issues is an interesting one.
Is it possible for a large section of one community to suffer from a breakdown taking what’s happened to them over the years.
Foot soldiers of the Empire to laughing stock in the space of a few generations.
Sad really.

I always lie to draw a parallel between loyalists and their old friends, white South Africans, specifically the Afrikaans. There’s an easy parallel to draw in the personality of dear Eugene and characters like Carson and Big Ian. Like big Ian (and Nelson Mc Causland types), Eugene saw his people as God’s chosen (actually, that’s the equally deluded zionist mob) and the nation swas given on to them.
As the end of apartheid essentially gave white people the right to have as shyte a life as black people, so the GFA (and the end of large industry in the west) gave loyalists the right to have as shyte a lige as their taigy neighbours.
Here http://sluggerotoole.com/2013/09/27/williefrazer-dresses-as-abu-hamza-for-court/#comments we see DC beautifully typifying that afrikaan style bewilderment at what modernity and equality looks like and what it is to face the truth that the other side/colour are grasping their opportunities better.
Sorry for mentioning him but how wonderful is it to hear that other loyalist fruit cake, Jim Wilson ranting about the HET and PSNI doing nothing more than their jobs? Of course, the truth is that the cops indulge the UVF to such an extent that even the DUP’s Gavin Robinson goes off piste and asks for something to be done about their current and recent activity. Perhaps Gavin is in the wrong party because the rest of the DUP are in Jim’s camp, that of the ‘this is our country and we have the right to do whatever we want including breaking any fek’n (they’d probably not say that. Sounds a bit taigy) law we want’.
What Tazer, Bryson, Wison, Mc Causland etc. fail to realise is that they ARE being indulged by the legal authorities. One only has to look to how the rioters were treated in England 2 years ago or how the Glasgow police take no crap from the OO or its habgers on. Indeed, I see the limiting of Willie’s case to a magistrates court as a deliberate action to limit any punishment he can receive.
