Gregory’s new runabout
No, I’m not doing advertising just yet on this blog. I’m not even buying one of these, but for some reason certain Unionist politicians have their y-fronts in a knot over a new runabout on the market. I am sure the South Korean makers had this corner of the world to the forefront of their minds when dreaming up the name for their latest engineering triumph.
Those of you with a business background will be aware of the perils of cultural sensitivities.

“Korean car maker Kia faced calls from MPs to rebrand its latest model because it shares its name with the Provisional IRA.
Unionist MPs said the Kia Provo should be renamed and given a title which is “not associated with terror and mayhem”.
The Democratic Unionist Party’s Gregory Campbell (East Londonderry) and William McCrea (South Antrim) claimed the name had caused “deep offence”.
The Provo concept car was unveiled at the Geneva motor show, with Kia claiming the “sleek, low, yet muscular coupe-style” design was “meant to be cheeky and cheerful in its compactness and to hint at the fun awaiting on the open road”.”
How dare they not have taken Gregory and Willie’s opinions on board ?
What is it with Gregory the other week it was a Sunderland footballer and his taste in music? Now it is what South Koreans choose to call their motor cars my God has the man got nothing better to do with himself? Get a life Gregory.

The entertainment value is priceless
There is a provo in golf. When you hit a shot and think it may be lost then you hit a provo and if you cant find your original ball then you play the provo next shot being number 4. Locally this is known as a Gerry Adams but dont tell Gregory maybe he will want to ban golf too

2 thumbs down unbelievable and there I thought golf was the 5th most popular hobby in Norn iron after Joyriding, kneecapping, marching and glue sniffing.
I wonder if Gregory ever held a Provisional licence when learning to drive?
The really weird thing is, the fact his whining worked, will be seen in the Unionist community as some sort of victory against IRA/Sinn Fein….pure and utter madness.

Think the South Koreans will think twice before investing here that is for sure. Know a few car dealerships in the East Derry constituency have gone under recently. In middle of recession is that a no from Gregory to business?
